And the last day-Friday was time to made summary and talk about this project. We were happy, because they all talk about their feelings and gave their opinion, it was really important for us. Our guests didn`t repent of came in Avinurme. They haven`t blame us for nothing and gave some tips to make our next project even more successful. They had one wish- to see bear, but they didn`t.. I promise, next time, when you come in Estonia, you will see bear!
And the rest of the time they made preparations for the big evening! Of course the party was totally successful!!!! They talked about their homelands, they danced, they sang, they thanked their families, they joked and made good folk dance night for people from Avinurme.
When the rest of the the people were left, about 11 pm, with a heavy heart and swimming eyes, project people had last hours between ourselves. Some of us didn`t go to sleep at all.
And Saturday morning the families came to say goodbye for everyone. It was superheavy..
At ten o`clock am the Hungarian girls drove off..
At two o`clock pm the Germans flied away..
At five o`clock pm the Portuguese guys took off..
and we were waving- SEE YOU..
Miss you!

The end...
Hi, my dear friends. Mari-Liis here...
First I have to say to all blog-readers that we did'nt forget our blog. We had really active days and last night. So...when we are vacationed, we write more about activities we had thursday and friday...
Im still quite tired but I can write some thoughts and happenings.
You know - I hear voices in my head. In the morning I heard ONE-TWO-THREE-FOUR-ONE-TWO-THREE-FOUR.... It was Daniel's voice in my head. Maybe I have to sleep more :)
We decided to do nightparty on last night (friday-saturday). We were in culture-center and we had midnight-barbeque, karaoke, games, Miguel's card-tricks, talking, singing, sleeping-bags for sleepy persons and breakfest with Estonian military organisation "Defence League". It was fun...or....?
You cant imagine how many eyes were full of tears when our guests were leaving. Not only our youngsters but even adults (mothers of host-families) were so sad. We had in Avinurme wonderful youngs from Portugal, Germany and Hungary. You all have a "room" in our hearts!
I have many thoughts in my head but maybe I will write more tomorrow...
Hugs!

Tired, tired, tired :)
I think all poeple are tired because they danced Portugal folk-dances. I have to say that I was sooooo suprised - we had so many students in Portugal culture-evening. They had fun and they all danced. We organized this evening in culture-center because there was a parents-meeting in shool.
But - we have quite big hall in our culture-center. There you can find 200 chairs and if they need, they have 100 chairs more - so 300 places. And - this room was too small today. I didnt count how many people we had, but...you can see this video. Only 20 is official group of project.
Today we worked in school-system. 45 minutes activities and 10 or 20 minutes break, 45 minutes activities and then break aso. It was good system because our guest had chance to contact with other students. They had task to have new friends every break and write her/his name to post-it. I can say that they have many new friends now. Thank you for all students who found time to talk with our guests.
You know - we will have final party for all people in Avinurme. There you can see best parts from culture-evenings and our music/dance and art groups shows what they did during this week. All are invited.
So. Im really tired now and I will go to sleep. I have some tasks to do, but they have to wait. I found out that Portugal people live like there is no tomorrow. Work - you can do it tomorrow, but fun - you have to have fun here and now. Im good student - so....work can wait for tomorrow :)
PS! I looked picture from culture-evening....and I counted people - we had over 60 people in Portugal culture evening. wow
PS2! If I can hold my eyes open...I will upload now a video I made with my photocamera. Sorry for this quality but you can see how fun we had in Portugal evening.

Hungarians day
Today was the first day when our guests were meeting with our school and they were really impressed about that a small place like Avinurme has as modern school as we have.
We were showing them part of Avinurme´s culture by teaching them basketweaving and they were really glad to do this because they didnt expect to get better souvenir than the one which is made by their own hands. Also it was quite interesting they were amazed about that all Avinurme´s youth can do basketweaving.
They all were very excited about going to the tower of church because for most of them it was the first time at all to go in the tower.
At the evening we had today´s top event-Hungary´s evening. Everyone got know more about Hungary´s culture and history what is really very very interesting:) We had a lot of fun about hungarian and estonian words which are same but different in the meaning. We were impressed about Amy´s performance about holding the bottle on the head while dancing(even if she said thats very easy it didn´t work when we tried to do this at home:D).
I have to say some words about hungarian food-hungarian chocolate is the best in the world!(of course after estonian chocolate:P):D but the other thing we ate was tasting bit weirdly,it was absolutely something new for me.
I´m sure we will have also a lot of fun on the next days and we can´t wait for tomorrow:)

Moonday in Estonia
Hi my name is Miguel, I´m from Oporto, Portugal and I came with Daniel to Estonia.
Today I saw my blog invitation, I´ll try to speak about previous days to ...
We came by plane and as son as we landed in Tallin we already had someone wainting for us, they were all very nice. We arrived to the hotel and then we went to youth cafe, wich I think that it is a really cool place for young people ... I was impressed with all the good work they did with that =) and food was great.
Then we visited the old part of the city, it is a very nice city, without pollution, cars and everything is clean and beautiful.
We did some cool Ice Break games and then we went to visit the old town at night.
__
The next day, Sunday, we had breakfast and we went shopping and after lunch we cached the bus to Avinurme
At the middle we stopped in an old house/museum which had real cool old stuff :P
After the travel we arrived to Avinurme and our "families" came and get us. The get to know evening went well.

2 nd day in Estonia
Today we had so many emotions.
We was in Avinurme church where heard a lot about a battle against Russian army. We were surprised, because the priest talked very emotionally about this. He gave the opportunity to see old bones, bullets, even teeth of the dead people that was discovered 2 months ago.
we etwinned a basket with an old Estonian girl and her grandchild. It was a good fun for us. Unfortunately we couldn´t finish it ourselves, because we ran out of time, we had to go to visit hte renovated school with the director.
It was weird for me and Janet, that we had to change our shoes in the school to keep it clear. The school itself was more moderner than we could imagine. In Mesi´s country they don´t have a school that would be this modern. She was really surprised.
After lunch, we had to present our country to Estonian youth in the school. It was good, because they returned to the Hungarian cultural evening. It was very productive night, we improve our knowledge about Hungary.
After this we went back to the families to have a rest and prepare for the Portugal day.
See you tomorrow, Mesi, Janete and Renno

Mari-Liis has time to write.....
...drinking vodka is like licking floors of hospital....
/by Miguel and Daniel - Portugal, Oporto/
If you find out, how many smart and successfull people are from Hungary...you feel that our (Estonian) Carmen Kass is just a girl next door...
If you want to see how a girl dances with a bottle on her head, you have to come to Avinurme on friday (19:00)....or just travel to Hungary :)
Do you know a church with old bloodsplotch on wooden-floor and with bullets in benches? We know one!
Avinurme's basket- and woodfactory can have 14 new employees - they all know how to make a basket of wood.
.jpg)
You cant believe how interested are our high-school students in this project - when all guests introduced their countries, we had full auditorium! OK - they got free from lessons...but I believe now they know more about some European countries and they liked it.
We don't want to compete in solving rubik's cube with Hungarian girls - we know that we will lose....

Monday
I was very surprised when I saw the school outside, and when we get inside...It was amazing. At first, the director of the school was talk about the renovations at the school, and I never thought that a school can be like this. The technicals they use...It is really cool to go to a school like this. And we must change our shoes... :D
The church was so nice with the tower and the bell. But those skeltons...I don't know.
At the evening, we wanted to present our country. At first Mesi talked about the differences between hungarian and estonian. The best word the persze I think :D Then Agi talked about our history. I think the most interesting thing that we presented was the inventors and Rubik's inventions. I love the hungarian folkfables, thats why we showed one. The we presented some music from our country. After that, I made a folk-dance show with a bottle on my head, and I think most of the people liked it very well. And at the end, we gave the food that we made before the evening. I think most of the people don't like it, or they just don't taste a thing like this before. But I think that the chocolate was a good idea.
Finally, I think that everyone enjoyed the Hungarian Evening.

Sunday in Estonia
We waked up early mornig, then we had breakfast together: like egs, bread and butter and stirabout with jam. After we went to the Old Tallin. Our new friends like it very much, but the weather was quite cold and rainy. They pull out their fur cap with ear-flaps:)..
We looked over Katariina street, where was taken the Estonian film "The Last Relic"(1969), Müürivahe street-street next to City wall, where are a lot of Estonian handicraft, which they all liked. Yesterday we had seen Toompea- the sealt of Parliament, little observation platform, Town Hall Square, place where comes Estonian Statue of Liberty and our one million kroons WC.. Portuguese enjoyed our famous restaurant Balthasar.
Then began bus drvide to Avinurme!
Before Avnurme we stoped and looked over the Palmse Mainor. It vas very beautiful, we liked this "old time" atmosphere. We saw the old time lifestyle and at the end we took group potograph.
Youth were excited to go so small place like it. Also here are a lot of more nature than they expected to. The families came and take children to go their homes. Tomorrow we see what are the first impressions.
But I can say, that they all are nice. I hope they will think same about estonian people!

1st day
We had breakfast together until 8h30 a.m.
We went to the Main Square in front of the city hall, in the old town.
We did a wet energizer; we bought some souvenirs and visited the town in small groups.
Typical Estonian Things that we can see or buy:
Hand craft – woolen clothes (gloves, socks…) from Estonia
Black bird
Amber
Caramelled almond
Chocolate – Kalev
Hats of middle age
Hot spot made of Estonian wood
Postcards
We had lunch in the youth coffee at 13h00 p.m. It was over seasoned for us, but it was good and the cake as well.
We took our bags to the bus and went to Palmse Museum. That was very nice, because we were allowed to touch the furniture, clothes, play on musical instruments and took foots.
Then we went to our host families, but first Janete has got back her baggage.
Our group has 3 people (Renno, Janete and Mesi).
In Reno’s family we found the table with the tea, cake and apple jam. After Mesi wrote down the Hungarian alphabetic and learn basic words about Estonia language, while Janete had an Estonian bath.
Now we will eat something and tomorrow we give more news.

Arrival Day in Estonia
Waiting - for the Estonians from Avinurme. They already arrived in the morning in Tallinn. After getting of the bus they helped to get the rest of the needed things together.
After a train ride and a flight the German group arrived. Hungry and tired they came to the hotel where first the Portugues guys showed up.
And than again waiting for the Hungarian group... Who finally showed up after about 26 hours of travelling on the bus. After hearing that everybody else was glad to have taken the plane.
Dinner was in a very nice place, a youths' café. All the renovation inside was done by young people and it is run by them as well. The food was great and the group got the first opportunity to meet and talk to the others.
The first impressions of the non Estonians are: it's colder, Tallinn is a nice place and it has a really beautiful old city. Especially when it get's dark the buildings look even more impressive because of all the lights.
And everybody says so far: The group is nice and they are looking forward to the next days.
Good night - it's time to get some sleep!
